Advise from a parent.

Sunday, January 18, 2009

At last, the holidays got over and but still the laziness lingered. It is a sort of hangover that everyone undergoes I suppose-right?

Somehow, I overcame the lethargies and went to visit a friend. When I entered his living room, my friend was in an earnest conversation with his daughter. From the look on the girl’s face, it was obvious that she was getting the stick from her dad.

Yes, he was giving the usual parental unsolicited advice. The younger generation at present is smarter than the parents think of themselves. They don’t need any serious advice. They know their limitations, shortcomings and they realize fully when to study and when to relax.

When I got my turn to talk to my friend, I advised him just that and I am sure he needed it.

When I left the house, the girl smiled at me with gratitude.
